That's over one hundred thousand dollars paid out in prize monies, trips to Vegas, trophies and more to our members right here in Suffolk County. Add that to the over $1 Million paid out at National APA Tournaments and Events and you can see why the APA is #1.


Suffolk County APA 8-Ball Higher Level Tournaments


Tier-1 Suffolk County 8-Ball Tri-Cup

The top finishers during regular session play, battle it out in the Tier-1 Divisional Playoffs for the right to advance to the Tier-1 Tri-Cup Tournament. In addition to the large prize fund & payouts and awards, the Tier-1 8-Ball Tri-Cup also advances teams to the Suffolk County 8-Ball Local Team Championship (LTC).
  • 8 - 10 teams per session advance to the 8-Ball Local Team Championship (LTC)

Tier-2 Suffolk County 8-Ball Tri-Cup

The session isn't over for those teams that missed the Tier-1 bracket. Those teams that fought hard all session but fell short, compete in the Tier-2 Divisional Playoffs for the right to advance to the Tier-2 LTC.

  • 8-10  teams per session advance to the Tier-2 8-Ball Local Team Championship

Suffolk County 8-Ball Local Team Championship

In the Summer of every year 60 -64 teams compete in the Suffolk County 8-Ball Local Team Championship. It is Suffolk's premier Amateur 8-Ball Event. Winners of the Suffolk County 8-Ball Tri-cup Tournaments have earned the right to compete for their share of the prize fund and a slot in the APA 8-Ball National Team Championships held every August at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Tournament is single Elimination ending with 4 teams advancing to Las Vegas to compete in the $600,000 APA National Team Championships.  In addition, the four second place teams will advance to Connecticut to participate in the Northeast Challenge with a chance to win up to $4,800!
  • Four first place teams advance from Tier 1 to Vegas to compete in the National 8-Ball Team Championship.
  • Four second place teams advance from Tier 1 to Connecticut to compete in the Northeast Challenge
  • Two teams advance from Tier-2 to take in the fun of the National Team Championship experience

The Tournament is Single Elimination ending with 2 teams advancing to compete in the $600,000 APA National Team Championships!
  • Two first place teams from Tier-1 advance to play in the National 9-Ball Team Championship in Las Vegas.
  • Two second place teams from Tier-1 each win $800
  • One team will advance from Tier-2 to take in the fun of the National Team Championship experience
